This gallery of sketches, plans, and photos show the progression of a recent Silver Mountain Designs project. Liana Schmidt of Silver Mountain Design provided architectural design and consultation services through the full construction process, from initial concepts before the lot was purchased to the final design details during construction. Starting with input from the owners, Silver Mountain Design created initial design concepts and then worked in partnership with the owners and builder to develop full construction plans and a site plan, supported the neighborhood's design review process, provided guidance for all exterior finishes and design details, and consulted throughout the construction process. This project was completed in partnership with Dickerson Construction.
For this project, the homeowners wanted a modest contemporary home that showcases the 360-degree views from their lot. The home features a contemporary exterior that blends in with the surrounding hills of rolling sage, pinyon pines, and junipers. The interior features an open floor plan with large windows and light, bright finishes. The home is approximately 2,600 square feet with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a large work-from-home office and spacious garden-level basement.
